The FAI International Drones Conference and Expo is a unique event that combines an absorbing conference, a fascinating expo and a world-class, drone-racing contest.

Attracting expert speakers from around the world, it offers a platform for organisations, businesses and individuals to connect around three main themes: Sports, Safety and Innovation.

The 2018 edition will take place in Lausanne, Switzerland from 31 August to 2 September as part of the EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) Drone Days event.

As in 2017, it will be held at the 20,000m2 EPFL Rolex Learning Center, a learning laboratory, library and international cultural centre. 

From the evolution of drone sports, to cutting-edge technology, and safety issues, for an overview over the most recent developments in the world of drones, attendance is a must.

At this year’s event, visitors will be able to:

  • Listen to fascinating presentations on the themes of Sports, Innovation and Safety, Innovation, made by expert speakers from around the world
  • Learn about pioneering technologies and discover how drones are already changing our view on the world

  • Marvel at the incredible exhibits in the Expo, which combines temporary exhibits linked to the conference with the EPFL’s permanent robotics-focused exhibition.
